Keker, Van Nest & Peters is proud to announce that partners Adam Lauridsen and Eric MacMichael have been named among the 2026 Lawdragon 500 Leading Global Entertainment, Sports & Media Lawyers. Both were selected as top litigators for sports, and Lauridsen was highlighted as a top lawyer for baseball.
Lauridsen has built a national reputation representing Major League Baseball. In a recent case, the U.S. Supreme Court declined to review a wage-fixing antitrust action brought against MLB and its teams, effectively preserving MLB’s long-standing exemption from antitrust scrutiny. He also successfully defended Electronic Arts in class actions targeting its successful sports games, Madden NFL and FIFA.
MacMichael works on some of the most consequential disputes in college athletics. He represents the Pac-12 Conference in high-stakes antitrust litigation arising from conference realignment, including its lawsuit against the Mountain West Conference over alleged “poaching fees” tied to a 2023 scheduling agreement. The court denied the Mountain West’s motion to dismiss, holding that the Pac-12 had plausibly alleged an antitrust claim and had the requisite standing to proceed. He represented the PGA TOUR in securing the dismissal of high-profile antitrust litigation brought by golfers who had left the league to join LIV Golf.
