MSNBC's The Point featured Keker, Van Nest & Peters partner Cody Harris for a discussion about the constitutionality of President Trump's executive order that sought to defund "sanctuary jurisdictions."
Mr. Harris told The Point's host Ari Melber:
The Executive Order as written is flagrantly unconstitutional ... and what was striking was that the federal government in court has never put forward a coherent explanation of why they think that Executive Order is in fact constitutional. There is a real disconnect between what the President is saying out there in the world and in his tweets and what his lawyers are saying in court. What the president says about his own orders does matter.
