Legal Services for Children has selected Erin Meyer as one of its 2016 honorees. She will be honored tonight at the organization's annual event.
Ms. Meyer is the associate representative on Keker & Van Nest’s pro bono committee, and in that capacity is tasked with helping match associates with meaningful pro bono opportunities. Prior to joining Keker & Van Nest, Ms. Meyer spent a year in the Greater Boston Legal Services immigration unit as a Yale Public Interest Fellow. She is continuing that work in her current pro bono practice, which focuses on Special Immigrant Juvenile Status as well as asylum cases for unaccompanied minors as well as immigrant families. In addition to her direct service work, Ms. Meyer has been deeply involved in Keker & Van Nest’s efforts to aid local organizations like LSC as they address the crisis involving unaccompanied minors.practice focuses on high-stakes complex litigation across a broad range of industries.
In her firm practice, she has successfully defended cases ranging from a patent case that resulted in a complete defense verdict for a technology company to a nationwide RICO claim brought against a large self-storage company. Ms. Meyer also has experience litigating employment-related cases, including employee misclassification cases as well as contentious disputes over equity structures. Ms. Meyer received her J.D. in 2009 from Yale Law School, and holds a Bachelor’s degree in public policy from Duke University.
