Steven Ragland Squashes Malpractice Litigation

07/19/2011

For the third time in a row, Mr. Ragland has protected an AmLaw 100 law firm from litigation. In his latest case, an international law firm was sued for malpractice by a developer in connection with a real estate transaction. Aided by Associate Eli Ewing's incisive research, Mr. Ragland convinced opposing counsel to dismiss the case prior to active litigation, thereby saving the client time, expense and potential public relations fallout.

Mr. Ragland has extensive experience in a broad range of complex civil litigation and criminal defense matters. He has represented individuals and companies facing criminal allegations ranging from securities, mail, and wire fraud to drug and terrorism offenses. In the civil realm, he has successfully represented clients in breach of fiduciary duty, fraud, legal malpractice, defamation, trade secret misappropriation, contract interference, unfair business practice, and civil rights matters.
