Mr. Berkowitz has a diverse litigation practice, which includes substantial experience in cases involving intellectual property and emerging technologies. His recent copyright cases have included serving as counsel to amicus eBay, Inc. in Costco Wholesale Corp. v. Omega, S.A., 131 S.Ct. 565 (2010), representing Troy Augusto in UMG Recordings v. Augusto, 628 F.3d 1175 (9th Cir. 2011), representing Facebook, IAC, and Yahoo! as amici in Viacom v. YouTube, 718 F.Supp.2d 514 (S.D.N.Y. 2010), and representing eBay, Facebook, Google, IAC, and Yahoo! as amici in UMG Recordings, et al. v. Veoh Networks, Inc. (9th Cir., pending).
