Sonja Riley-Swanbeck represents clients in all facets of commercial litigation. Prior to joining Keker, Van Nest & Peters, Sonja clerked for Judge Roy W. McLeese III of the District of Columbia Court of Appeals. She also worked as an associate for an Am Law Top 40 firm.

Sonja earned her law degree cum laude from Georgetown University Law Center, where she served on the Symposium Committee for the Georgetown Journal of Gender and the Law. While in law school, she served as a law clerk for the U.S. Senate Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs in the Office of Senator Gary Peters. She previously served as an intelligence analyst in the Office of the Director of National Intelligence and a research associate for the Stanford Cyber Policy Program.

Sonja holds a Master of Public Policy from the University of Michigan and a bachelor’s degree in neuroscience from Wellesley College.
