JiLon represents clients in high-stakes trial and appellate litigation across industries and subject matter.
Government Enforcement, Investigations, Constitutional and Public Law. JiLon has defended clients in government investigations and enforcement actions, advocated for their rights against unlawful government action, and handled election law disputes. JiLon’s clients in this space have included federal employee unions, Fortune 500 companies, professional sports leagues, political entities, and individual executives. He has litigated or advised on matters involving the President of the United States, DOJ, U.S. Dep’t of Veterans Affairs, SEC, FinCEN, and several state AG’s offices including California, Delaware, District of Columbia, Illinois, Maryland, New Jersey, and New York. These cases span issues that include the First and Fifth Amendments, separation of powers, collective bargaining, ballot initiatives, APA, consumer protection, worker misclassification, employment discrimination, False Claims Act, securities fraud, and antitrust.
Commercial Litigation. JiLon has represented companies, trade organizations, and individuals across the cryptocurrency, semiconductor, rideshare, academic, pharmaceutical, and banking sectors in commercial disputes involving class actions, mass tort, UCL, family law, trade secret misappropriation, antitrust, fraudulent transfer, and breach of contract. The values of the claims at issue ranged from hundreds of thousands to billions of dollars.
Pro Bono and Bar Involvement. JiLon maintains an active pro bono practice and has represented clients in matters involving extremist violence, civil rights, reproductive rights, asylum, and criminal justice. He was Advocacy Chair for the Asian American Bar Association of New York’s Anti-Asian Violence Task Force and received a Bar Leaders Innovation Award from the New York State Bar Association for his work combating anti-Asian hate.
Prior to joining Keker, Van Nest & Peters, JiLon practiced as a litigation associate with an Am Law top 20 law firm in San Francisco and at a boutique white collar criminal defense firm in New York. JiLon also served as a law clerk for Judge Lorna G. Schofield of the Southern District of New York.
JiLon earned his J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Law School. JiLon also graduated from the University of Pennsylvania’s Roy and Diana Vagelos Program in Life Sciences and Management where he earned degrees in economics from The Wharton School and neuroscience in the College of Arts and Sciences.
