Jamie Martinez represents clients in all facets of commercial litigation. Prior to joining Keker, Van Nest & Peters, Jamie served as a law clerk to Judge Myrna Pérez of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit and Judge Leslie E. Kobayashi of the U.S. District Court for the District of Hawai’i.

Before clerking, Jamie worked as a litigation associate at an Am Law Top 20 firm, where he worked on matters relating to securities and complex commercial disputes, white-collar defense, and maintained an active pro bono practice.

Jamie earned his law degree from UC Berkeley School of Law. While in law school, he served as an extern to Judge Marsha S. Berzon of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit and Judge Janis L. Sammartino of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of California.

Jamie holds a bachelor’s degree in Philosophy and Psychology from UC Berkeley. He began his academic journey at Grossmont College, where he earned associate’s degrees with honors in Philosophy and Social & Behavioral Sciences.
