Gavin Thole litigates high-stakes cases at the trial and appellate levels. Before joining Keker, Van Nest & Peters, he clerked for Hon. Andrew J. Kleinfeld of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit and Hon. Mark R. Hornak of the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania.
Gavin has represented clients in both civil and criminal matters in state and federal courts, including the Michigan Supreme Court and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit. His notable representations include the National Wildlife Federation, a prominent New York litigator, and two defendants charged with murder.
Gavin graduated magna cum laude from the University of Michigan Law School, where he was an editor of the Journal of Law Reform and a member of the Order of the Coif. He is admitted to practice in New York and before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.
