The Importance of Inclusion: Diversity in the Legal Profession

03/22/2012

A panel discussion featuring Berkeley Law graduates who are women of color:

  • Ambassador Frankie Reed, Ambassador to Fiji, Kiribati, Nauru, Tonga and Tuvalu (formerly the Deputy Assistant Secretary in the Bureau of East Asian and Pacific Affairs and Consul General)
  • Quyen Ta, Partner at Keker & Van Nest LLP (formerly a clerk to the Honorable Lawrence K. Karlton, U.S. District Court, Eastern District of California)
  • Clothilde Hewlett, Partner at Nossaman LLP (formerly a member of the California Council on Criminal Justice) The legal profession still has a staggeringly low number of minorities, women, and particularly, minority women. Our distinguished panelists are prominent women of color who will take us through their journeys to professional achievement. We hope that you will learn from our panelists about the importance of building a diverse support system.
